Do any of the SOG ..hierarchy know anything about a knife with tang stamp EXPLORER 11-504 ..one side and 440 stainless Japan..on the other. The knife is drabb..olive green w/ black rubber handle .In the center of the handle is EXPLORER in a circular pattern just slightly larger than a pencil eraser. This kinfe is SOG SEAL..exact size , pattern, everything except a different pattern rubber handle.......and of course EXPLORER....Anyone know about these knives,I got it about 3 weeks ago ,but it looks to be new...not years old anyway.I've got to learn to post pictures,I've been born 100 years to late and am being dragged into 21st centry screaming and cussing the whole way, sorry no picture.

Hogdog, sounds interesting..........I would like to see it, never heard of one of one though.

You and I must feel the same way, I keep saying I'm going to throw this thing out the window and go camping  ..........:D one of these days I might.

I do not know anything about this knife. It sounds like it could an imitation of the SEAL Pup knife. I would like to see images of this woudl it be possible for you to email them to me? If so please email them to at marketing@sogknives.com.

I have an Explorer 21-176 that has a blade very similar to the SOG Government Agent but with a different guard and handle (no pommel cap). This knife must be at least 10 years old…..IRRC the Explorer brand was around in the early 90’s possibly imported by Gutmann Cutlery who now imports the Junglee knives.

.....Junglee currently makes a copy of the SOG Pup:

I’m not too familiar with Junglee's knives, but I think that at least some of them are from Japan.
