I recently picked up a "Thunder Explorer Dual Arc Plasma Lighter". It advertises itself as an electric, USB chargeable, waterproof, stormproof, lightweight firestarter.
It has a lithium ion battery, uses no fuel and it does not create a flame. Pretty neat little setup and seems to work well on the little testing I've done. The plasma arcs instantly burn any dry material it has touched so far and starts a flame easily.

Anybody have any experience with these in the field?
 
Good for lighting flammable gases like propane. When using on dry material, I want to be careful not to damage the points where the arc occurs.
