Exposed Guard Sheath

Working on stretching my wings--I designed this one so that the guard would be exposed and added a strap to make sure the knife stays snug. I used the buffer to give it a distressed look (and to cover up a blemish on the hide that didn't show up until the dye had dried).

Nice design, follows the shape of the blade nicely. My only suggestion is that on sheaths with a retention strap like you show here, that they be installed exactly reverse to what you have done. That is the tail or tab pointing to the rear when worn. This helps eliminate a snag on a limb or something to inadvertently cause it to unsnap.

See post #7 third photo for example.

Thanks for the feedback, Paul. I will change it up on the next one--I'm glad you pointed that out.
