Just thought I'd mention a movie that's been around for quite a while now, called Exposure. There is another more recent movie out by the same name, dealing with a disease outbreak but that's not it. The one I mean is about a photographer in South America who gets mixed up with criminals due to events he was'nt involved with,(they kill his girlfriend). The movie accuratly portrays the society there in terms of the "macho" types using knives instead of guns to do their dirty work. It stars Peter Coyote & details his training in the art of knife fighting,(for revenge). Having studied some techniques myself, I know that his training was somewhat accurate. The movie has a good plot, beautiful scenery, and great fighting knives. Was wondering if anyone else had seen this gem and maybe knew what the custom knives were. Definatly worth renting the video if you can find it.

Slices,

Yeah, I've seen it. I haven't thought about that movie in a long time. Saw it a couple of times on tv. Good fight scenes. But until you mentioned it, I had no way of knowing whether or not the training was accurate. It's the only movie I can think of pretty much dedicated to "knife fighting".

Movie knife fight related: (fun to watch) is the bar room scene featuring David Carradine with bowie knives from "The Long Riders". One of my favorite westerns.

Maybe you can start a thread with mentions of favorite knife scenes and knives used. :D
