Just a quick question for the folks of Boker. Are these going to be available here or is it just a Europe thing?

Also if they are coming over any idea when? cheers

I don't have an ETA, but it will be coming to the US.

Does anyone know why some of these have the thumb-ridge opener and others don't?
 
When I was looking around the web for these a while ago I noticed that.

Some of the pictures of the wood-handled (rustic bog oak) Exskelimoors show the thumb-ridge opener and others show them more rounded-off instead.
 
Argh! I just swore I wasn't going to buy any more knives, but that Maple Burl turns that from a knife I am quit interested in into something that is too good to resist. I'm glad my resolution lasted for over 24 hours this time. And the last knife was a Boker as well, so at least I'm sticking with the same brand.

Terry, you folks are putting out some great knives. Thanks!
 
I think I figured it out.

The smaller 2.75-inch blade versions have a nail nick and a rounded thumb ramp.

The larger 3.5-inch versions have the thumb ridge opener.

Some of the latest new additions to the Boker Plus line are starting to show up on dealer websites now.
