Exskelibur II lock question

My Exskelibur II arrived today. I'm extremely impressed with it. I can see it very quickly becoming one of my favorites. One thing that I noticed was how far over the liner engages the blade. The photo below shows it well. Although the photo doesn't really show it the back profile of the blade is angled, so that gives me some confidence. Should I have any concerns with this on a new knife?

I don't think it is anything to worry about, but you can always send it in to us if you are uncomfortable with it, and I will look at it, and replace it if needed.

As long as there's no play in it there's nothing to worry about.
And even if play showed up after some use:

Thanks Terry, if you think it's fine then I'm comfortable with it. And congrats on offering such a fine knife.

Amen to that. I sent a CLB Direkt back to Boker because of blade play and I have no doubt that they will take care of me.

BTW, the lock-up on the Exskelibur is rock solid. That said, providing a tool to deal with their proprietary pivot screw would be a nice touch.

But doggone, what a nice knife!

Que,
We are working on the issue with your knife now. I should be getting an update on the progress form Germany in the next week or so.

Hey Terry, the Direkt arrived here today. It looks like it's a new replacement knife. The lock-up is perfect. My check for $5 was returned with the new knife.

Absolutely perfect customer service! Thanks so much.

Que,
Sorry for the missed post, I mixed you up with another customer.

How come yours is marked China, whereas mine has no country markings whatsoever? Is it something Boker stopped doing?

By the way i fully agree...This is a magnificent little knife with an amazing design! My first Boker, but definitely not my last. Got a Haddock on order too, but theyre out of stock untill end of April.

KMM,
Welcome to the forum, and to Boker. The reason for his having a China stamp, and yours not has to do with laws between Europe and the US. In the US, we have to mark the product with country of origin, whereas the EU does not require that.
