Hi folks -
The sun was out and it was beautiful here today, so I took some pictures of recently acquired knives, including my JK Modified Wharncliffe.
This example is 1" longer than the standard design, and I asked that it be made with 1/16" 01 stock.
The intent for this knife is to be our go-to kitchen knife, and it has so far been the knife we grab when we are in need of a cutting tool in the kitchen. In fact, this knife has forced our beloved Riverwoods Companion out of the knife-block and back into the drawer with all of it's cousins.
Here are some of the pictures - and also included are pictures of the beautiful Buck 112 two dot that John rescaled for me.
Maggie using the knife to cut up a rotisserie chicken. It is a heck of a slicer for soft material like chicken and meats AND hard material like carrots.
Outdoor shots with a decidedly "green" theme. ;^)
You can see the patina the knife is developing in this shot -
I put my Tilt in the picture, since it was with me anyway...
Just for fun - here it is next to my new Buck 651 Pigsticker Intruder. Now that is a big Buck!
And finally, I wanted to try to capture the beautiful "purple-ly" patina that the Wharncliffe is taking on.
Thanks for looking!
Now I have to change the oil in my truck to get ready for the trip up north next weekend, and then I can start draining that bottle of Jack.
best regards -
