Today after building my bench I've decided its time to destroy my garage and get things in order, much needed as this place is disastrous..

Maybe this will turn into a WIP who knows, first off I decided my portaband needs its own area, I found some straps for schedule 80 pvc and whala..

had the mdf sitting around also, yeah its not the best substrate but It'll do for now.. the bottom strap not only secures the saw but also eliminates the need for zip ties.. Just mount to the wall, build a work rest.. done..

more pics of goofy stuff to come I'm sure, I have plans for a dust collector........

nice mount although I though the whole point of a portable bandsaw was to remain portable... :D

heehee, if this sucker sees anymore portable use it may become a paper weight.. its been used really hard.. now it gets to spend the rest of its life on my wall :)

here's part my garage, now that I've moved even more stuff around looks like a tornado ripped through.. if it was a wider shot you'd really see chaos..

Nice, I've been planning on doing the same thing as soon as I get my work area in order lol. Keep us posted on how you end up making your work rest, thanks!

I'm very interested inyour air cleaner if it's not a piped outside job, but something that will take the sparks and all. Frank

Looks like you got in my garage and cleaned up a bunch!
I'd reccommend finding some metal conduit clamps or banding and replace the PVC. The PVC will crack and break under stress. Don't want that thing to land on you foot while still running!

I'm hopeful to use aluminum plate if I get it free, or probably just 3/8" oak plywood I have laying around..

It will be plumbed outside, however duffy99 had a thread a while ago where I had an idea to run a shop vac half filled with water and an exhaust hose attached to a hepa filter.. bout the most affordable thing I could think of..
I seen a dust collector for $160 local , just don't have the disposable cash for that..

yeah, that's why I put two clamps on top.. these aren't in no way intended for hard use and only used them cause I had them at my disposal.. a plumbing strap may be added at top for insurance, however I really don't think its needed you can tug pretty hard and this is going nowhere..

I posted shots of the garage merely for entertainment and to encourage me to clean up more and get it back to how it was..
the finished shots are what I'm after :)

I found a simple solution for my HF too... involving two 90 degree L brackets and two screws.
