Extra fast ride to page 2 today

Just grousing here not expecting any sympathy

I (me and others of course) posted a sale in Individual Customs yesterday and some guy comes along with 4 posts selling one knife each and another guy does the same for 2 knives.

Hard enough maintaining a Page 1 view without getting kicked off by that kind of inconsideration & rule breaking. The threads got closed but the 5 empty spaces remain as I and some of my Wednesday co-sellers were given the bum's rush to page 2. Oh well, better on the relist I hope. :thumbup:

That sucks.

The second guy could have just been an accidental double post. It happens on occasion.

Now the first guy got off light with just a warning. Going through his started threads shows that that is not his first time posting or reposting on the same day. After four years here and around 100 transactions, one should know better.

Wow! Only a warning but I can see at least 7 other times he has listed knives in the same section on the same day. Some people just can't be bothered to play by the rules....

I don't know how important the first page is. When I browse the for sale forums I will go through as many threads and pages as it takes to get to threads posted the previous day. I'm sure other serious buyers do this too.

I notice that in some of the more active forums my thread might be 3 pages back the next day. But also I've had people contact me a week after I posted something to ask if it is still available. So people are either searching for specific knives or they are going through numerous pages to browse through old threads to see what is available.

I'm not saying that front page doesn't have a benefit but maybe your sale will work out anyway.
