Extra tall anvil height for fine work?

I saw a couple pictures of me hunched over working recently and got a little concerned for the long-term health of my back. Has anyone ever set up a separate anvil at a taller-than-average height for more detailed work so you don't have to bend over as much? Or would it just be awkward in a different way?

Yes, I have a 7" round post anvil that is probably 40" high. It is great for thin sheet metal shaping and things like forging out flowers, leaves, windvane tops, etc. When I need a square edge I place a 4X4X6" block of hardened 4140 on top to shape a 90° edge.
On other occasions I set a 75# anvil on my big Hay Budden. That moves thing up closer for light hammer work and texturing without bending.
Take it from an old guy that the more you work straight up or sitting in good posture the longer your back will last.

Good to know, thanks. I've got three anvils now, 120 lb, 150 lb, and 196. Maybe I'll just make an extra tall stand for the 120 pounder.
