Would someone PLEASE tell me which EXTREMA folder to buy. I am smitten by the MPC for I think it would best suit my needs...but I want YOUR opinion...CLIFF STAMP's would be MOST appreciated!

Buy the one that best suits your needs ... and wishes. The MPC is the biggest and baddest, the most extreme, beyond all reason. :)

Maybe a smaller one might fit your hand or a narrower blade do the work that needs doing. What did you have in mind?

I'm pleased with my Nemesis.

No doubt, Esav is right, MPC is the crown jewel of all monster folders IMO. I have 2 and they are amazing works. I know there are other great folders made, but there is something about the ER-MPC that makes you think BAD A** ! It even smells like a BAD A** ! :D

Robbie Roberson ;)

i like the nemisis myself FWIW, ya should get what turns ya on though imho.

I love my MPC but it is a bit much for EDC. It is the heaviest monster folder I have and makes my Striders look puny by comparison. The blade is quite thick and not exactly a slicer. I love it but my next ER would be a Fulcrum I think...

I have a fulcrum II D folder and like it, the blade is massively thick but I think its a bit shorter than the MPC

The Nemisis is cool, but doesn't have enough belly for my tastes. That thing is like a railroad spike with a handle. If the MPC came in a non - serrated version, I'd be all over it. If you like the combo edge, I think the MCP would be the one to have.

The one thing I don't like is the partially serrated MPC edge. OTOH, I can see it would be handy in a rescue situation to saw through stuff.

As most of the advice here...buy the one that turns you on the most.
As far a the Extrema Ratio knives are concerned, I have the Col Moshen and it is one hell of a nice knife. The ergonomics of the handle is something to behold and the sheath can be attached to just about any carry position you can come up with.
I have well over 100 knives and I am VERY impressed with the Extrema Ratio products.....pricey but they are well worth it IMHO.

Just got the Fuldrum II a couple of weeks ago, a little smaller than the MPC - I really like everything about it except... Boy I wish it had an ARC lock.
something consoling about having a one hand/open close.

nemesis owners - does the top hilt bug ya during use? just curious, it's what has sorta held me back from seriously considering getting it. otherwise the knife seems like a great piece of engineering.

The upper guard is no problem for me. The handle is so long anyway that it's not like your hand will be pushed up against it.

Dangelo, FWIW I've tried the Fulcrum II and although it's the smaller of the sytem, I've found it a little too large for EDC. It is, however, one of the strongest folders that I have yet to own or handle.

All the best with your decision.

Stuart
