HOW DO YOU SHARPEN THIS KNIFE?
I've had this knife for a while, but it's ground so thick at the edge I can't get it to cut worth a darn.
Should I try diamonds and bevel it more at the edge?
 
Some time ago I had a BF1CT and never had problems sharpening it on the Spyderco sharpmaker.

Yes try diamonds and thinning the edge out abit. I have had a few Ex Ratios that came with super obtuse edge angels.

If you are using the sharpmaker and the edge is wider than 40 degrees the sharpmaker won’t be able to hit the apex of the edge.

Yes Sharpmaker can't get to the edge at 40 deg.
Ok,yû this will take a while(diamonds).

You could always try leaning the knife over a little bit to either side when using the sharpmaker so you can hit the apex without reprofiling the whole edge.
