Looking to get above knife with the standard handle(the one lacking cutouts) in drop point blade as the design and steel really speak to me. Just wondering if anyone has any opinion on the knife good or bad. Looking to get something a little different but might still consider getting a ZT, Al-Mar, Spyderco Para-Military, or Lone Wolf

I have been interested in the BF series myself, though I never did buy one. I do look forward to your review if you purchase one.

What I can say though, is that my Para Military has served me very well. I have not babied it. I've used it to dig into dirt, cut rope, fine steel wool, scotch-brite pads, whittled, and even got bored one night and used it to baton some wood to get the woodstove going(despite having a perfectly good hatchet right next to me). Sharpens up great on the Sharpmaker(though you'll; want the diamond rods for much re-profiling). Grip never slips when wet, pretty comfortable, and still locks up like new.

Good luck with whatever you get,

-Sean

I have its big brother...the Fulcrum IID... I must say, that I too have considered one of those BF folders, and the only recommendation I can make to you, is that you may want to consider the one with cut-outs in the handle, for grip. The ER handle finish doesn't do much for grip by itself, and you may find the "smooth" handled version to be a bit, well, if not "slippery" per se, at least, a bit less "tacky" than would be ideal... As always, ymmv, my $0.03 (accounting for inflation).

I can speak to the toughness of ZT 0301 and the Spydie Military. They are both great knives.

Ive looked at the Extrema Ratio knives (from a distance) and although cool I'm not sure what I throw at a knife is that extreme.

I also saw that there are a lot of poorly made copies that are being passed off as originals, so I was doubly reluctant to buy one without being able to handle it first.

I would be very interested in seeing pics if you pick one up and knowing what your impressions are.

Steelsnob,
Thanks for links, sounds like it might be just what I'm looking for in a smaller tac knife. Did you buy one?

you might check with esav benjamin, the supermod on forum, he's had several models of this brand. not too many posts on these have come down the road.

I've always wanted the MPC model but haven't pulled the trigger on one yet. They are supposed to be a strong as hell.
