I just got this Dark Talon from Xtreme Knives. (Very good company). I paid $187. It's an incredible knife. Not what I'm looking for in an EDC, but if I wanted a knife for self-defense, this is the one I'd grab. When I got it, it was very tight. The blade was perfectly centered and solid, but not easy to open with one hand. I put a drop of MilTec on the pivot, and that didn't help. I tried to loosen the pivot a bit, but it was very tight. The screwdriver slipped off the screw and left a couple scratches.

I did get it lose and the blade opens easily with a flick of the thumb, but the blade was no longer centered. So, I guess you get one or the other.

Anyway, I'm dropping the price to $127, including PayPal fees and shipping in US, because of those scratches. The knife is otherwise in perfect condition. The photo shows the scratches. I adjusted the light to make the scratches look as bad as possible. At some angles, you can't see the scratches. But they are there.

First to post "I'll take it" without condition and with prompt PayPal gets it. My email contact on this forum doesn't work for some reason. If you need my email, say that in a post and I'll add it to my post.

Here's the photos. The specs follow. The first photo shows it with a Military CF BG42, which is not for sale.

Yes, it's still a solid lock up. There is a very slight amount of lateral play at the loose position I've adjusted it to, but even at that it's more solid than my Military. If you want a rock-solid lock up with a perfectly centered blade, then it will be tighter to open. That tightness may go away as it breaks in, but it is not broken in. It has never been used. Just opened a few times.

Hey Mr. Smith:

I still waiting for a reply from Prosstak. There's a huge time difference between us, and postal issues are complex.

I'll put you in first backup position.

I have one. Did a review of it on this site. It was tight when i first got it but with some opening and closing it loosened right up..... But i have freakishly strong hands so maybe that helps.

Top for a great knife. (even with a couple people in line already)

Payment received. Thanks, prosstak.

Your knife will go out today by registered mail. I'll email you the registration number later today. It's packed extra well because it has to go so far.

Hope you enjoy it. It really is a great knife.
