Hi all,
past few days I had the chance to give a try to the new Extrema Ratio DICOK (DIving COmpact Knife)

Specs:
Blade Length 84mm (3¼in)
Blade Material N690 stainless steel
Blade Thickness 4mm
Handle Material Non slip glass fiber filled Nylon
Overall Length 196mm (7¾in)
Sheath Nylon and polyesther with Kydex insert
This knife is strictly focused on the water world, I mean its really specialized for the sports and works involving sea, lakes, rivers.
The handle is Coke bottle shaped, and really grippy

An interesting feature is the slot in the blade, which can be used as a screw-pin shackle wrench

DICOK has a chisel point, so you may use it to open clams or similar tasks

About the blade: obviously not a razor due to the thickness, anyway you may do some carving if needed

The serrated part works well on fibrous materials, ropes ecc.

The sheath: is well realized as usual for ER sheaths. What I appreciate more is the retention system of the knife, here you may see the standard mode, to release the knife you just had to work the plastic buckle

anyway it is available also an anti-panic system, so just pulling out strongly the knife you have the same result

Another features is the key to unlock the first stage valve. Is supplied with the knife and it lays in a pocket inside the sheath

Conclusions: the ER DICOK its a small, compact fixed blade really specialized for divers, but can be used imho also for kayaking, canyoning and other water sports. As usual for Extrema Ratio products, you may love or hate the knife, but the materials quality and fit and finish are top notch. I will use the DICOK for my future kayak trips I guess.
Ciao,
Alfredo
