I just bought one today, and it should arrive in a week or so. I looked around for several hours straight, trying to find the best deal, and I ended up going with one that I found early in my search for $173. For someone that perhaps knows the market better than I do, is that a fair price?

My main purpose here, though, is to ask if anyone has any experience with the Fulcrum, or any ER fixed blades for that matter. I'm really excited and anxious, but I won't feel bad if your opinion of them is less than stellar.
 
Great knives, you won't be sorry you got one.

It is however...........a completely different knife than any I have ever seen or handled.

It is designed for extra heavy work I think, and pretty much anything else you might want to serve to it.........:eek:

I have three ER-MPCs, put two up for my boys, and one is my user, even though it looks almost new.

I love mine..............and you got a great deal.

I have an E.R MPC. I think it is Cool, tough, well made. But you know, it cuts like a sharpened crowbar...I think that's the point though.

Good choice on the Fulcrum, I think if the MPC were smaller I'd actually use it more. The MPC is a bit big for an EDC IMHO and for really heavy work I grab a fixed blade. "Ya can't defeat the lock on my Khukri"

Don't you get a bit hyper waiting for the friendly delivery dude/dudette...I sure do!

I was really look into the Nemesis and MPC, the MPC more so. But I couldn't bring myself to spend an extra $100 for something that I figured would end up serving much the same purpose, though I may still get one later on.

Another question, how's the Testudo coating on the blades? Is it tough and does it clean easily?
 
I recently got my M.P.C. from the Brightedge.com and I am completely satisfied with it. Got it for $200 brand new. It is a little too thick to cut as well as my Al Mar SERE 2000, but it came shaving sharp and cuts pretty well considering how thick it is. It is huge and I can't imagine the lock failing. Awesome folders. You got one for a great price. Enjoy it!
