I recently purchased an Extrema Ratio - Fulcrum II. Just wondering if any body had some info on their experience with this line of knives, or some feedback on what led you to purchase from them.

Also, does any body else wish these had an Arc/ Axis lock?

Thanks,

Well, I have a Golem S Man you can chop up a Panzer Tank with it!! :) I want to get the Doberman model

Got on in a deal recently. Needed to recoup some cash from the deal so sold it.
However, I thought it was an extemely solid folder! Made like a tank. Bit heavy, but if you need the strength the weight isn't a real big issue.

I keep my eyes out for their stuff. Really like it.

Thanks for the feedback.

Any other manufactures with likeminded durability and blade quality for the same $$ or less??

I've got an ER Fulcrum II. I bought it for $150 at a knifeshow. I like it. Not elegent by any means, but I toss it in my bag when I go on roadtrips just in case I need to pry my vehicle out of a ditch. ;)

My only real complaint is that the backspring makes it want to snap closed very hard. I worry about my fingers. A little loosening on the pivot and I can flick it pretty easily. I lowered the edge bevel considerably and it cuts pretty well now. I also had one of their larger models, but I didn't like the guard that stuck up on the back of the spine when it was opened. I like the thumb ramp of the Fulcrum II much better.

If it has a weakness, I'm sure it's the pivot pin. If this knife could break, I'm sure that's where it would happen.

I got a Golem F Testudo and was a little disapointed with a couple of things:

1) The black finish is rubbing off on the thickest parts on the blade where it touches in the sheath just from sheathing and unsheathing it. Expected a little more from a $200 knife. The guy at the knife store just shrugged and said, "nothing with a coating like that is permanent."

2) A button on the sheath broke the first time I tried to unsnap it. I was worried I'd have to mail it to Italy to get the sheath fixed, but the guy at the knife shop was cool and exchanged the sheath for a new one.

Come to think of it the sheath seems a little cheasy too considering the price of the knife.
