Hello I have decided to take the plunge on an expensive knife. I know that 2-4 hundred is not a lot for many of you but it is for me. So I have narrowed my choices down to the shrapnel and the fulcrum c. Uses will be a utility, urban shtf knife. I might also take camping as well. Between the two which one is the better knife and why? I have also considered the fulcrum k9 which is very similar to the fulcrum c just with full size handle and slightly longer blade all legal in my state.

While I have neither of these knives, I would suggest that you consider the shrapnel because of the slightly curved blade. This will be more useful for performing all of the basic camping chores and "survival" tasks that you might need compared to a straight tanto blade.

The Shrapnel is one of their better knives for civilian, EDC use. It is comparable to the Fallkniven F1, a basic survival/utility blade.

I agree with Esav. The Shrapnel is better suited for utility use. The Fulcrum has a tanto point and would be fine for the urban shtf blade but limited as an outdoor/utility knife. Make sure to get the C model.
