I've been a survivalist since military service and am keen to know if anybody possesses or has used the Extrema Ration Kukri KS... I'm thinking of investing in a few of them for our group and am keen to get some feedback.

what i'm especially interested in is practical transportabilty... If anyone's got any photos of themselves using the blade outdoors... preferably with the whole person in for scale, I be immensely grateful to have them sent to anostromo@hotmail.co.uk ......

Be happy for some feedback to share with our survivalist group.

the top of handl.

I'd never even heard of them until you posted asking about them. For the price of 1 of these things you can buy 3 authentic kukri from Himalayan Imports (see either their forum on this site or visit their webstore http://yhst-7333098713883.stores.yahoo.net/). Just as a side note HI is a top of the line, highest quality you can get, 2-3 times the cost of most other makers of authentic kukri.

The Extrema Ratio Kukri series look cool being hi-tech and all, but I think they're only flat ground whereas the Himalayan Imports are all convex grounds - which means the HI kukris don't get wedged in the wood when doing deep chopping.

The Extrema Ratios kukris probably cut better but sorry I haven't used one!
