Extrema ratio let down....

So here is my tragic story. I bought a extrema ratio MF2 from xtremaknives.com back in mid January. When I got it in I was blown away by the size of the knife and the fit and finish. After a little inspection I soon noticed that the lock bar was very short and would dig into my thumb when I closed the knife. I also noticed that the blade was quite sticky. That didn't bug me too much, but for a knife of that price I was a tiny bit bummed. Then came the real heartbreaker. I ordered some phosphor bronze washers to replace the nylon ones that the knife came with. While removing the pocket clip screws I noticed that they were very tight. After taking them out and replacing the washers I went to put them back in. While tightening them I noticed that they were not tightening. It turns out the threading in the handle was stripped out of all the holes for the screws.... I contacted Helen at xtremaknives and she told me to send it back. About a week later she emailed me and said she tested all the other pocket clips on the MF2s she had and they all had the same issue. Glad to say I am getting a full refund and she is contacting extrema ratio to let them know of the issue. Has anyone else ever had problems with these folders. I'm very shocked and surprised that a knife of this quality, and price, would have this problem. That god Helen at Xtremaknives was very nice and helped me the best she could. I was so pumped about this one and it was my favorite for the short time I had it...

Whew, that is surprising I have generally heard good things about the brand. Though how were the screws staying in to begin with if they were stripped? Were they just being held by friction w/ the hole in the handle scale, which was loosened when you took them out?

Same here. I have always heard great things about them too. It looked like they used an air tool and heavy duty thread locker to put the screws in. The threads were flat on the screws and the threading in the hole was trashed too. I'm not trying to knock the brand in any way. Maybe my knife was put together by an inexperienced employee.
