Hi i am thinking of buying an extrema ratio folder

have heard mixed reports on them any reviews from owners would be
very nice

I have had both the Fulcrum 2 and the MPC. Both are great knives; tough as nails, but both suffer from not cutting well because of steep grind angles. this and the fact they have aluminum handles instead of titanium caused me to go with the Strider SMF. Never looked back.

If you click on "my knife reviews" under my signature, you can read a review I did of the Fulcum II.

I do not have one - have looked at them many times but hard to warm up to.

Would you consider the Pohl Force Alpha 2? I just received mine today, and if you are into hard use folders this one ranks up there.

I have the MPC. It is definitely heavy duty. I find the grip secure and comfortable. No, it won't slice like a kitchen knife, but it's a good outdoors knife.

I also have the Nemesis, same handle as the MPC but with a narrower blade. I've had the Nemesis longer and used it a lot. You can get a great, sharp edge on these knives although the thick grind interferes with some uses.

The pocket clip is excellent: very broad and holds securely. The butt is a massive piece of steel, a real rock-breaker.

I had a Fulcrum 2 in a pass around and while it was extremely strong like others said it's not a slicer by any means. If I was stuck in a elevator or a tank I think it would get me out though.;) It was just a little too one dimensional for the price they want for them.

The MPC is a strong knife. I had one around 2004 and just got a new desert camo mpc in a trade (( rule violation ))

I think one thing that makes the mpc and fulcrum strong is there are very few parts. I'm not sure what the handle composite is made out of, but I know the N690 is an awesome steel.
