Hey Blade Forum. I received my 2nd ER last week and wanted to just share some thoughts. This is not a formal or comprehensive review, much less a even a cursory one. These are just thoughts and photos I'd like to share with you.

Having had the Nemesis for only a short period, I'm still not even sure what to think of it: the Nemsis is stimulation overload. It's the perfect knife. I've been an owner of premium auto and custom folders for years. I had only recently heard of Extrema Ratio and I'm astounded by the quality. ER has undoubtedly accomplished making a "folding fixed-blade"! I can't imagine carrying anything else after being spoiled by the ER Nemesis. This is less a knife and more a piece of pocket hardware. In a knifeworld full of G10 and titanium and new kinds of locks and gimmicks, the materials and build of the ER are refreshing. It's both extremely modern and classic at the same time. A brick of of steel and some high grade aluminum slabs crafted flawlessly goes a long way. There's no fear of damaging this knife no matter what it's put through. It has true grace for such a serious tool. It feels real and substantial yet refined and exotic. My favorite feature on the Nemesis is the jimping and guard on the spine. It's beautifully and solidly machined and just feels good and secure. Its heavy action and lockup is very reassuring. You can feel the quarter inch thick blade lock into place like a bank vault door. This knife will remain in my pocket daily without exception. The Nemesis is a serious, masculine and modern piece of equipment. I will not think twice before buying another Extrema Ratio.

Sorry for stupid hijack, but Im considering to go to Italy this summer. Does anyone know any shops that sell ER knives, perhaps near Rome? If anyone knows, I would appreciate it!

Yes there are quite a few! Thats awesome, picking up in ER in the homeland. Check the official website and go to the officials dealer section. There will be a map, click on italy and scroll down to Roma. There are a bunch. Let us know what you find over there. I know there are models only available in EU, like the ER steak knives and Gilette Razor set!

The Nemesis and MPC are essentially the same knife.
The back of the Nemesis blade is in line with the back of the handle.
The back of the MPC blade is in line with the top of the top guard. The MPC blade is partially serrated.

While the Nemesis blade seems thin in relation to the massive handle, it is actually an average long size for an EDC. I beat up my Nemesis when I got it. It hardly shows. That coating is durable.
