Hi all,
past few days I tested the Extrema Ratio RAO Avio for the knives magazine Lame dautore http://www.lamedautore.com/

The RAO Avio was adopted by several Italian Air Forces brigades, you may see those mark on the blade

Besides the marks on the blade, the big difference by the standard RAO is the sheath and the survival kit attached

The survival kit is filled with the usual, useful, items: wire saw, firesteel, compass, water purification tablets, paracord ecc.. A nice addiction to the RAO.
About the knife, the blade its a sort of guillotine who cut easily big branches and small trees. In this sense, the knife is perfect for the survival, as building an emergency shelter is not an issue, also if this knife is a folder. Not the best knife I used in terms of handle comfort: I suggest to use it with gloves when you are chopping, this way not problem at all. The sheath, very well made, is otherwise someway weird, as is not possible to use it when the knife is folded: strange choice by ER. All in all a very robust, affordable folder, with a well done survival kit.
I made a clip of my test, here the link in Youtube
