I love the size of the scales, blade length, but not thrilled with the matte black blade. Price tag is also a bit out of my price range. The only thing that comes to mind is the CS Frenzy, TiLite. Are there other fairly slender, long blades, that use a Thumb stud for opening which may be found on the secondary market for around 200.00+?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts on this.

I'm with DocJD, you're not likely to beat the CS Frenzy in this department. The Ti-Lite is an intimidating blade as well, but I can't stand its lock. The Frenzy is better in every way, IMO.

CS has several models in this category, but not with blades shaped like the Frenzy and Ti-Lite. The Counter Point XL might be worth a look, if you can find one.

Daggerr Knives makes the Vendetta, which would fit the bill except that it's a flipper. The Darrel Ralph Maxx designs (Cuda Maxx, Madd Maxx) might, but their secondary market prices are much higher than your budget AFAIK.

I appreciate the advice. You are sure right too about the HTM Maxx being a huge leap in price.

If you watch the Exchange, Extrema Ratio Resolzas come up for sale from time to time, usually around $100. I put a Kwik Thumb opener on mine, and it works nicely. It has a more elegant lookand feel than the Frenzy, and it does carry a bit easier. You won’t be unhappy with a Frenzy though, they pocket well for the large size and the wharncliffe cuts great.

Does your deploy easily with the just the thumb stud? Thank you.
Compared to the AD-10 for example , I'd have to say no .

But once the lock and spring are well broken in , it's not too bad , either .

I rarely use the thumb stud , especially on Tri-ad lock models over 4" .

Mostly just wave open or shake down / gravity / inertia type opening which works easier with these longer blades .
