OK, so i was bored and decided to sharpie my $5 piece of junk folding knife i had. I think it turned out pretty good. remember this is an old, scratched up, terrible knife and now it looks alot better. here is what is started as...

what do you think?

I think you did a good job staying inside the lines but that knife is BEAT. Lol, nice job though, i like the blade color. Does it stay on when you cut stuff?

im sorry but this knife is so dull you cant cut butter. lol ill sharper it and try soon and post more pics after.

I think itll stay in the scratches and just wipe right off. Does your hand get black? Spraypaint would have been better but just as ghetto.

actually the sharpie is staying on perfectly and I tried to wipe it off and use soap and water and nothing happened. it wont come off. i like it how it looks also just seeing if it will come off. which the answer is no. also the sharpie dried as soon as i colored it on the knife. my hands are clean and it didn't rub off. so i don't know if its just the steel or what because sharpie is a cheap and effective way to color you knife!
so go sharpie!

Any solvent will strip that, I think acidic juices from fruits will too.

+1 on that. Just about anything you cut with it will start to remove it.
When I was your age I tried it too. I know from experience, it will not stay on for long.
