I've made and collected miniatures for years, but this leaves me speachless.
It is a 1/18 scale 1931 Mercedes SSKL made by CMC models.

It's 9.3/8" long. The seats are real leather. The spokes are individual
with nipples. The steering is real (has to be cranked at the steering wheel).
The leafsprings are real. All wheels are removable. All hoses and fittings
have real clamps. The underside is more detailed than the top of most other 1/18's.
A model like this is in the $200 range.
 
WOW! :eek: I can't imagine trying to make a model like that. $200 sounds like a fair price for that kind of attention to detail and accuracy.
 
That reminds me of the old Pocher kits. I remember the Mercedes roadster kit I bought had a jig to weave the individual spokes on each wheel, and the windows cranked up and down. You also had to tailor the seats with a sheet of leather that came with it. The only thing that didn't work in miniature on that model was the tranny.
