Hi all.

I am extremely disappointed that I would not be able to get all the brothers to my newly accuired RC 4 right away. Global recession.

Now that I have held it, stroked it, shaved some arm hair, played with it, assembled the awesome sheath, push cut some paper, sheathed and un-sheathed it, I want more and it is going to burn me until I get more. Might I suggest to myself the RC 6

What a knive.

I feels very sturdy and well balanced. The handle slabs are just mighty fine with just enough grip. All in all, I am very chuffed.

Lastly I would like to thank Anton from RAT Cutlery South Africa for great service (E-mailed him paiment after 20:00, he still replied at that time and sent the knife the next morning )

Then also to all here on the forum, you all made my desision slightly easier ;) even if you did not know it. I have been lurking here the whole of last week :o

And thank you RAT for great cutlery.

This all sounds normal!

Enjoy your RC-4... It's a great knife!

Thanks for the post and the comments!

Anton is a good man. We will be shipping him a lot more stuff very soon.

Welcome to the RAT pack!

Fear not, your overwhelming desire for RAT blades will soon be stronger than your need for things like food and transportation, at that point you'll be skinnier from walking everywhere and not eating and you'll be able to afford all the RAT blades you want.

Good choice for your first one. I would suggest the Izula as a second when the time comes, they will work nicely together.

Welcome to the pack, tell your wallet I'm sorry for the loss... Believe me you will notice it will be thinner. I just send my checks right to Jeff these days...

By the way the RC6 is a great choice, it is the blade that started my affair with RAT Cutlery. I've been broke ever since:p

Hi can you please message me Anton's details....mail address, phone no. etc...
I would like to see about ordering some knives.

Thanks
Steven

Well I just discovered this great range of cutlery and need to sing it's praises. Really well made stuff here R.A.T. Wait till I get my hand into some outdoor stuff.

LOL, My priorities has always been scrambled to get stuff I think I need, I do not think it will stop. This blade was a replacement for my Buck Alpha Hunter which died last week.

Nope, just like no B.S. people.

I know, we have some around, just wished there were more. That is a very South African saying, I think you might have made contact before with this tribe?

@ orrey45, like I said man, global recession, pain in the but I tell you, was a big toss-up between the 4 and the Izula. One day, O yes, it will be mine.

tell your wallet I'm sorry for the loss...

:D You better believe it, skinny little piece of wallet.

Amen to that one Don!! Life is too short for BS and unfortunately those people are too far and few between...

I know man, too many people making issues of their own little issues, all BS

@ Alfaholic, check out Ratcutlery.co.za, thats Anton's site. I am sure he would like you to visit there. He even replied to mails late at night, sure shows dedication, and seems like a nice guy allround

Oh, I hear you ... recession sucks ... takes a while to save up to the next RAT ... my next will be a 4, as I am going for the combination Izula/RAT-4.
I've been meaning to get a custom sheath for my Izula, but it became my EDC so quickly I'd miss it too much if I gave it to the person I want to make my sheath.

OK. 24 hours being a RAT ownerand I am very pleased.

Points of observation.

1-This RC 4 is sleek, the low profile allows me to carry it in my front right pocket.

2-The RC 4 will impress your wife.

3- It is solid

Time to stop raving about the knife and use the socks off it.

Since I have just folder Rat-1, it is the best folder I checked for past 2 years (maybe among 100+ ones).
Thanks Rat Cutlery
