Extreme Late Lockup/Opinions

I think this will be my first thread posted in the CRK sub-forum? I typically, enjoy reading the valuable information posted here, however, I have a question that I would like to have some knowledgeable feedback on.

Just an FYI: I do own a few CRK knives, & I am fully aware of (not alarmed by), a few of the rather late lockup's I've had/have on a couple of my user's. I recently acquired a Umnumzaan. The lockup on this knife is right at 100%. Other than the late lockup, this Zaan has smooth action, and excellent fit and finish.

I've already called & spoken with Angela, from the CRK Customer Service department. So here are my options:

1. Send this knife in to CRK, and see if they can correct the extreme lockup.
2. Keep it & use it the way it is.
3. Send it back for a full refund. The seller has been great dealing with, & I used PP Goods,
so no issues there.

Any opinions? :)

If it were mine, I would send it in to correct that-
If you do so, the knife only- Fill out the paperwork with what you want done and wait it out.
Looks like an OP to me, so depending on what you got it for, it may or may not be worth it to you.

Thanks! This is in fact, an OP Zaan.

I actually had a 4th option (which I deleted before posting): to return this, and buy that beautiful rare OP Tanto you sold this afternoon. FYI- I clicked on your sales thread 4 times this morning, & thought very seriously about pulling the trigger.

Thank you, CRK sub-forum. I have all the information I need. In parting I will say this: there is absolutely nobody better (IMO), in the knife industry, when it comes to quality and exceptional customer service, than CRK. :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Considering my snafu earlier..that is a bit of a surprise :)
It's a funny thing on sales- Very few people make an offer- The gentleman that ultimately bought it is a class act for sure. Super nice guy.
That Zaan is going to CRK for a replacement BC and Box before it heads out to it's new owner..Cool knife..but I HAD to have the Umfaan listed.
Another super nice guy!

Show us some pics..we like that kind of stuff around here :)
