Extremely glennbad that is. :D
I had a surprise package show up yesterday. Once again my wife has to throw in the obligatory, "why are you buying more knives?" comment. Of course I didn't honey. ;) I recognized Glenn's return address when I snatched the box away from her knowing it had to be something special.
Glenn sent me a re covered Tidioute #56 Reverse Dogleg with some incredible popcorn stag!:eek::eek: I love the hammered pins as well. I'm just speechless! Glenn, my friend, I know you've been struggling with pneumonia lately and a very personal loss in your life. I am very touched that along with all you have been going through, you took the time to make this and send it to me. That just touches my soul. Such an awesome gesture from a well respected member of this community.
I sincerely hope that the worst of that pneumonia is behind you, but more importantly you find some peace that your loved one no longer suffers and is at ease now. My condolences to you and your family Glenn.
Thank you so very much for this.

oooooo that IS bad!!! From what Ive seen of Glenn's handy work around here and the few recent emails we have exchanged, he seems to be a stand up guy and I too hope and pray that all is heading in a better direction for him and his. That knife is yet another of his that I can drool over!

Matt

Stunning Bob, both the unbelievable knife and the extreme gesture by Glenn:cool::thumbup: You shared with me the back story and for Glenn to undertake this just shows the kind of guy he is...TOP SHELF, the man and the work:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Enjoy Bob:)

That beautiful knife and gesture just lifts my heart! Thanks for sharing so eloquently, Bob. Glen, may peace and health spill over you and permanently reside to buoy your kind soul

  Stunning knife and a great tribute to a couple of the finest members in this forum. Glad that you have this one Bob and I sincerely hope that Glenn's health issues are now in his rear view mirror.

Hot dang thats pretty! Glenn does a great job on all his work, I only go to him with knives that need modding. What a gift! Hope you are both doing alright!

Can't say that I've ever been fortunate enough to deal with Glenn, but the pictures I've seen of his work with stag are gorgeous!

Wow, what a beauty! I'm fairly new to the porch. While I don't know you Bob, I'm betting you and Glenn are both great guys, and that's one hellava gift. It's good of you to post here and give him some thanks and respect for his time and craftsmanship! Here's to hoping Glenn gets over that bout of pneumonia soon!

That is some lovely stag Bob, on an equally elegant knife!

What a lovely surprise and a very generous gift from Glenn, really kind of him.

All the best to both of you

Paul

Terrific all around! Bob, you get some patina on that thing and it'll look like it was built in the '20s.

A prime example of stag and porch generosity! I pray swift healing for you and Glenn.

Daniel.

Wow Bob that's beautiful. I consider myself fortunate to have several examples of Glenn's work. The guy is an extremely talented craftsman. I'm sure not many know how much Glenn does for the folks here on the porch. He is as generous and giving as he is talented and genuinely cares about others. It is an honor to be able to call both you guy's friend. That said (egg on my face :disturbed:) I just saw you texted me today I'll call you tomorrow.
