Extremely lucky survival

Some of the TV and newspaper stories don't mention the drinking !! This despite the numerous 'don't drink when driving ' campaigns . We ,in NY, even have a new law passed last year about driving drunk with children in the car.

They're right, "it could have been worse". He could have crashed into someone else and seriously injured or killed innocent people....

Damn! A drunk saved by a cell phone who'd a thunk it.

And to think he was about to start work as a "wealth management consultant".

Exactly....id rather have that guy on the bottom of some marsh, than having him crashing into a pedestrian because of his drinking. Idiot.

It is to be hoped that the guy learns to respect that alcohol and vehicles do not mix.

With any luck his insurance won't pay for the car damage or recovery and he'll be charged for the costs of the rescue and medical treatment, due to the self inflicted nature of the incident (if what has been reported is true).

They can't charge him 4 days after the alcohol is gone, so his insurance will probably end up covering him.

Too bad he is still part of the gene pool
