I knew a guy that carried one of those on a 2,200 mile backpacking trip on the Appalachian Trail. When I asked how he liked it, he said he wouldn't trade it for anything.

Nice score!!

They are an excellent value.

I added a wooden handle on mine and keep it in my glove compartment.

a model highly recommend for so many reasons.
but one has gotta to learn about being very careful
with the placement of the index finger
around the choil
whilst choking up towards the front.
though functional,
it could really do with a better sheath.
besides this, i am completely sold on this very excellent knife.

They are the best value out there for this type of knife. I also have an ESEE, two Ka-Bar Becker types and they are all 2x to 3x in cost. I also got two at ChinaMart for $20 each.

After reading this thread, I was out to get cat food for a friend and checked the knife case for the above BUCK and they had one left and it followed me home. Very nice knife, now to learn how to wrap the handle with cord. Happy Holidays to all.
