Picked up this little (BIG) beauty this weekend.

It's a German Eye Brand 425DDS (Deer Stag) 4 1/4" Stockman. THis is my first Eye Brand and I have to say I am very impressed. Fit and Finish are perfect, all three blades have strong walk/talk and snap like a beartrap. Blades are carbon also and while the factory edges were not hair popping sharp, they are what I call good work edges. Can't wait to see what a touch up on ceramic sticks will do!

The Deer Stag is just amazing, no flaws anywhere and the color is great.

Score another one for the german knifemakers!

Yes, indeed, they are a fine slippie. The sharpmaker will put a nice edge on them.

That is a beauty. I have Eye Brand envy now. :D

Very handsome stockman, LC. Congratulations ! I have one of their stag Canoe's and in my EDC rotation....solid knife all the way around. I don't think you can go wrong with a German Eye.....quality vs. price point makes this line a real winner in my book.
You take great photos too......

wow, that is a beauty. do you mind me asking what it would cost a fellow if he were in the market for a similar knife? ;) oh yah, what is the length?

I found them online a few palces for around $70.00, I bought mine from a dealer at a gun and knife show this weekend for $50.00 even.

Cutters and Collectors shows one on their website for $71.00.

The lenght is 4 1/4 inches closed, I am kinda a nut for these jumbo/cattle king stockman patterns.

Thanks Gramps. I am slowly learning about lighting and such from some friends that are professional photographers. I got a ways to go though, I don't think Terril Hoffman has to worry just yet! :D

Whoa that is an awesome knife. How are you going to carry it. . .belt

Actually, around my neck. Here is a neck pouch for my Cattle King Stockmen that I had custom made by Scott Gossman at Razorback Knives.

The knife is a Case 6.5375CV Bonestag Stockman.

Great Looking Eye Brand LC, pretty staq....You got that for a great price as well, that would be hard to beat...!!! Thanks for sharing...

Maybe it's just me but as popular as Eye Brand is there are not as many places to find these well made knives. I have owned several and they have always been one of the best made knives I have handled for a factory knife.

Thanks again,

Sunburst

Great pics, LC! The neck sheath looks very handy too.

I have that same stockman model, but with the yellow plastic scales. It has a pretty heavy-duty feel to it. I think it makes a solid work knife.

I only own one Eye Brand knife with deer stag handles. It's a copperhead. I have to admit that it's so nice I haven't used it yet. Their stag really looks good and isn't terribly expensive either.

TLC, you bite, man. :D

Dadgum thread convinced me I had to have an Eye Brand stockman. Stockman knives are my weak spot.

Beautiful stockies Guyon.

Now y'all got me eyeing those things. Guess you could say I've now got my, ahem, eye, on Eye Brands. (badum-bing)

Also ordered a few Sack-Ups for my stockman knives.

Excepting the Schrades I've put back for my boy, these two Eye Brands will put me at 18.

Think Stockman Syndrome is listed in DSM-IV? :D
