Anyone else had laser eye surgery? Did anyone else think it smelled just like grinding buffalo horn when the laser was on their eyes?? I guess only a knifemaker would think of that. Well maybe now I'll be able to grind straight!

I dont need it yet but knowing that will make me feel better. I think.

Hope yours worked out well. Have a speedy recovery.

much braver than I, Whit.

I can smell the horn smell just reading your words.....blech....:barf:

yeahup,,, lasic.. just over a year ago and a redo 6 weeks ago..
I think buffalo horn smells better :D may have the other one redone too :(

Wish I could afford it!
You'd think I'd be used to wearin glasses after 34 years, yuckkkkkkkk!

Hey L6, that's the best part! You can't afford it for yourself, but you all paid for mine! Courtesy of Uncle Sam! Yippee! Thanks guys!

Whit, think nothing of it! I am glad my tax $ are at least going for something good, in this case! Hey, I paid enough last year, give yourself a tip, too. I hope your eye surgery goes well, and you heal quickly, friend. You have lots of grinding to catch up with after you heal, I'm sure. Hey, good luck to you, too, Dan!

sounds like a slap in the face :grumpy:

I'm A v/vet, paid my taxes through the years, I don't have insurance,
and paid $2400.00 to have mine own done. :grumpy:

I had a girl come into the shop one day with a baby and said how do you like your baby???
I said whhhhat? she said yes your paying for it.
she's on welfare ...
that didn't set well, to be down and out is one thing but to flaunt it was another.. what's your story whit?

Not meaning to slap anyone in the face, I apologize if it was taken that way. I'm serving in 3d Ranger Battalion. Special Operations soldiers, and now much of the Army has the opportunity to get this procedure done for free. Not my decision, but I can tell you that it'll make my job much easier in combat.
The fact is that you guys pay my salary every day. While I appreciate it, I also deserve it. Those of you who have served know what I mean.

Whit, I wasn't offended at all, and I didn't know you are serving in the military. Thanks for what you are doing for all of us, fella! Hey, I was serious about glad my tax dollars are helping a bro. Stay safe, and I hope your surgery goes smooth, friend.

haha you were 1year 21 days old when I joined up.
