Here’s a hack that I thought of before a recent trip. I wanted a small bottle of knife pivot oil to carry with my knives in my checked luggage, but it was too late to order one before my trip. Instead, I took an almost-empty 10mL/1 fluid oz. Systane eyedrops bottle, pried out the dropper (which is a separate insert pressed into the bottle’s wide mouth), emptied out the remaining eyedrops, and filled it with mineral oil (I also removed the label so that I wouldn’t confuse it with my actual eyedrops!). I ended up with a bottle just the right size for carrying in a pocket or luggage, with a relatively precise applicator. IMG_5703.jpeg
