Hello, I pressed kydex sheath, for first time in YEARS w/ this thick kydex I had laying around, is either .07 or .08. Eyelets I had are for 1/4" holes, and the length under the... flare is real close, if not exactly 1/4".

Baggie says they are "8-8" They barely stick out past the two layers and form a very tiny roll that I am not satisfied with. Doing a search, it looks there are 8-10 and 8-12s. What ones do you recommend for this kydex?

Hope this is the correct section here.

Thank you!

8-9 works well for two pieces of .093" kydex and it what I use for almost all my sheaths

even the .064" thin stuff.

Knife kits has 8-9 by the 10's or by the 1000's

In my experience, eyelets that sticks out too far are more prone to splitting.

I use 8-6 eyelets in my .060" kydex. If I use 8-8s, most of them split.

I'd use 8-8s or maybe 8-9s in .080 kydex.
