I'd like to take my para2 hiking this fall but have some reservations about not loosing it as my pants have pockets made from a thin material. Any suggestions on a para-cord and clip system to attach it to my belt loop and then clip it to my pocket? I guess I'm looking for the solution that is easily detached and doesn't leave me fumbling about...:).

carabiner and paracord....or just paracord: tie the 2 ends together with a double fishermans, slide it thru the knife hole then do like a 1 rotation prussik through your belt loop. carabiner just makes it easier. have fun and be safe!

You could incorporate one of those keychains that has a barrel body and a ring at each end where you slide the center section and it comes apart in two halves. Made to take a key off real quick. Attach paracord to each ring and put one end around a belt loop or the belt. Could put keychain fairly close to knife so there is a short section of paracord to use as a fob or to put over wrist in case you need to use it in a spot that would be bad to drop the knife. If it detached easy then you can probably use a short length of paracord overall so its not very noticeable. Just an idea as I've never used lanyards.

I use the plastic snap hooks ( i think they are ITW Nexus, http://www.fasteningsystems.com/snap_hooks.html#wsh) to attach to my belt loop. I make it long enough for the knife to "hang" in my pocket. To retrieve my knife from my pocket, I just unclip the snap hook from my belt loop. After awhile it became a very automatic motion for me to unclip from my belt loop.

You can also get the snap hooks in SS and titanium in different sized, but they cost a bit more than the plastic ones.
