Hello gents ~ mainly as I'm too lazy to scroll through all the website info, I'm looking to find out if there is an EZ Open model with a stainless blade, or D2.

For various reasons I'm having some trouble with conventional openers, especially those with really stiff pull.

So I thought I'd try an EZ opener, or perhaps one that is pinchable would be ok too.

I know all you experts have this data right in your mental Rolodex.

Thanks for the help!

Joe

Have you thought about simply (I say simply but I haven't ever done one) converting your choice of knife to ez open? One of the abrasive wheels on a Dremel should be able to do it. It would take longer since it would be tough to dip the knife in water without it rusting. I guess you could dip the knife in oil to cool it though.

Something like that would be above my pay grade. I'd just end up ruining the knife and it'd look like crap. A man has to know his limitations. :)

There are some Chatt & Morgan teardrops.

Yes, one of the largest Case distributors currently has a number of SFOs with easy open notches, all in stainless steel.

Google for the following phrase: "case antique bone ez open" and you will find them.

What he said. I have the EZ open sodbuster Jr in antique bone and it's, wait for it....easy to open:D As he stated, google it or shoot me a message and I can point you in the right direction.

Thanks guys for the Case info and search tips...these look great for us folks that sometimes have a problem opening regular knives.

Yes guys - thanks for the tips. I was able to find a Queen EZ Open from the 2012 run, and in a pattern I like, the equal end jack. I ordered two actually. I like to have a backup. :) The Pony Jack is another pattern I really like. And it opens pretty easy. The Case line looks pretty nice as well. I may have to try one of those as well.

SAK Guy - my Alox Vic's are always my most carried. Just something about that alox. :). And they do open fairly easy as well. Arthritis in your hands and weak finger nails are a bad combo for knife guys. :)

Again - thanks for the help gents. Really looking forward to this one arriving.

Joe
