Fallkniven seems to be producing the regular F1 in laminated CoS steel now. I’ve got one on the way, but there’s precious little out there about them yet. Anyone have one?

I was curious about the steel as an upgrade on VG10, but passed on the F1 Pro because it wasn’t the same knife: different grind, blade profile, stock thickness, handle. Now that it’s offerred in the exact same dimensions as the F1, I can’t help but try it out.

Anyone else interested?

Hmmm... I am definitely interested. Been considering adding an F1 at some point, but I always find myself holding back on it. Is it much of a price increase vs. the old vg10 models? Where did you buy it (assuming it was from one of the approved BF vendors)?

The price increase puts it in between the regular F1 and the F13G, which seems right. I bought it at a non supporting Canadian Fallkniven retailer, so I have no idea what sort of price the big American vendors will price it at in USD.

Looks like the Dutch Bushcrafters like it, but that’s not very surprising:

Cant say whether the CoS performs better than the VG-10 with this particular knife but I can say the VG-10 model performs fantastically for me. Its my go-to knife when I'm in the woods or in the yard, sometimes everywhere. Its larger brother the A-1 goes with it when I camping.

No matter what the steel you will love it. Fallkniven doesn't make a bad knife...

I’m with you. I also have the A1 and F1 in VG10. I’m not sure the F1 is going to get much more use once it’s upgraded brother gets here.

It is decent. I much prefer my Elmax and 3V fixed blades of similar size though. It does have good blade geometry for wood work though.
