Hi guys,
I'm about to pull the trigger on a Fällkniven Idun.
Does anyone own one? Opinions?
I've a FK A1 and what I most dislike is the handle, so I'd like to get an Idun and not the F1.

Please convince me not to buy it, I want it so much but my wallet doesn't!
Ok, that's almost impossible, so... by the way does anyone knows where to buy it cheap in Europe?
Thanks!

I have one . Its a Awesome knife. Sharpest thing i have ever bought.

No dont buy one. After all its a high quality , sexy bit of knife porn. Im sure you wont like the very nice stacked leather scales or the high class build.

Argh... I didn't care about the stacked leather knives until I got this one on my hands (and bought it, even knowing I wouldn't use it so much)

Well, I guess I'll have to buy it anyway...

Yeah, you don't want this beautiful thing. haha.... next you'll want one of its big brothers to go along with it!

I really do like mine. These knives get so incredibly sharp with such ease, I love it! The only small complaint I can think of is that the handles ( though beautiful ) can be a little slick when wet. Not quite as grippy as some of the rubber handled knives. :)

Idun is a great field knife. I traded one for a Busse something or other...wish I kept the Fallkniven. It fit my mitt and that laminated steel is just incredible for edge retention.

Damn it... now i want all of them, including the Damascus version of the Idun :D
Just got an email saying my Idun is on its way to me... oh yeah baby!

Sweet! You will like it!

I realy like the look of those damascus versions too, I wish they made a damascus Tor. :)

Ok, here's a video of a F1 with green linen micarta grips. The narrator mentions the guy that makes the handles and his website at about 2:05 into the video.

I know they have blanks and I could even order handles of my choice here in Portugal, or try to make my own. That would result in a price between the normal F1 and the Idun... but man, how could I resist that beauty?

Hi Buddy, can you tell me what the sticks are and what the marking mean. Seem vaguely familliar?

Those are Celtic Ogham sticks. They are akin to the Norse Futhark runes but are different. Each rune represents a type of tree and is made from that tree. Each tree/rune represents something. The runes were also used in alphabetic form to spell words. Many people, myself included, use them as a divination device. Thanks for asking!

The Tor and Idun are both incredibly beautiful knives , would love to own them both but the cost factor is way outta line for me. Stuck with the S1 instead , one of the best knives I've used.

Cant say enough good things about Fallkniven.
