Got mine in the mail today. Very cool little knife, about the same weight as the U2.

The U1 has steel liners, cocobolo scales, a slipjoint lock and a blade in laminate 3G powder steel, including a black cordura belt pouch.
Hardness: 62HRC

Here's a few pics if anyone's interested.

ps. Neener to Gary W. Graley for his post on the other forum yesterday :p

nice what is the deal with the the 3g powder steel? as far as edge retention goes?

That is a great looking little knife. A slip joint too. Hmmmm. is the balde the same size as the U2?

I have a U2, which is "Super Gold Powder Steel" and hardened to 64 I believe the box said. It holds an edge better than any other steel I have ever tried. I have yet to get a knife in ZPD189, but the SPGS beats out everything else I have tried hands down.

hehe, nice, thanks sir!
Looks like a sweet knife, I was hoping the tip was lower, so I'll stick with the
U2 for now...

Hey man, I would love to get a quality knife made in Sweden. One of my friends lives there and she says that you cant wear a knife in public... Is this correct? Are there a plethora of knifemaking companies over there? Are they quality? Cheers

Bork, Bork!!

Nice knife.

The slipjoint aspect is a bit disturbing, but I could see one in my future (as a NKP carry).

Like those Japanese made, Swedish designed blades for some reason.

Sweet little piece , I'll prolly snag one when/if I get a chance . The older I get the more slippies appeal to me .
