I love this knife. Yes it was my first, but this knife takes everything I can give it, keeps an edge and takes an edge to be proud of. I'm sure this is just a stop along the way , but that's the fun of the experience! New vinegar bath and ramp removal and sharp as a razor once again. Oh and some paint!

What is the ramp for, anyway? I think I heard that the military requests the ramp, but, if so, what do they use it for?

that looks like a paper towel patina to me. Don't ask how I know....
 
It's looking great! I keep thinking about de-ramping my 9, but don't have the heart to do it yet. Mostly because I've never removed that much metal from a knife and don't want to really screw it up.
