What are your most favorite and least favorite knife related Facebook groups? I’m just curious what other people’s experience have been.

There is a Spyderco forum, it may not be the official one, I'm not too sure anymore as I deleted my facebook profile awhile ago. Anyway, there is one where this guy posts the same exact photo EVERY SINGLE DAY! It caused a lot of problems with a few people at first but that one was my favorite. lol It was pretty fun waking up everyday and seeing this guy has posted the same thing as the last 100 days lol An orange Spydk? I think so.. That guys comments were worth gold too haha

The CRK and Hinderer fan pages are pretty good. As are the B/S/T pages for both. Herders Barn is a much less uptight Hinderer sale page, though. Knife Traders is good, also.

I like the forum format better myself, but I am interested in where people are at.

Dan tope (his personal one, not the fan ran ones) and true saber knives are the only two knife related things I follow on FB. Big IG user though.

I've dialed down my FB activity a lot over the last year but I'm still following a few knife groups there.

There's a CRK, KAI, Realsteel and Reate group that I follow.

Mostly I hate FB. There's way too much hatred and ignorance afforded a podium to spread lies and find "friends" there. I used to be part of an "unofficial" Spyderco fan group there, but it got all weird and uncomfortable when some inappropriate nationalism started being displayed. I think Spyderco even tried to distance themselves from the group. Anyway, it's been a while since I looked at it. I don't miss it.

For the most part FB sucks and exists to only suck your mind and thoughts into a world of "friends" and "likes". Shun FB other than as necessary to keep up with friends and loved ones.

Better yet, pick up the phone and tell them with your own voice what they mean to you. Much better than an emoji.

i dont use facebook, instragram, twitter, and the other social media stuff. never have. i might be the last person on the modern planet who has never used any of it.

i do read lots of bad stuff on these groups. not all of course, but enough im happy not being there.

I never got into "groups" on Facebook...I used it for keeping up with what's happening in the lives of friends and family; but I gave up on it.

I’ve been in few ”secret” slip joint groups but I get too satiated with tasteless modern versions of knives, knuckles and show piece pry bars so I get out pretty fast. The forum here is more tasteful and is filled with gentlemen instead if late teenagers.

I took a 2 year hiatus from FB but got back on approx 1 year ago, attributed to feelings of loneliness/isolation/depression.

Lots of rabid fanboyism waiting to unleash hell on someone who doesn't buy (literally) into the groupthink.

Only reason I stay there is a handful of offensive content groups (aka shitposting) and the majority of my local AA community are on FB.

I am glad to hear that my frustration is not in a vacuum, I think I need to spend more time on the forum. I got frustrated with the forum back before the software change because it was chronically down. In that reguard, It seems much better now.
