I love maps.

A Facebook engineer just mapped 10 million of their 500 million connections to produce this image of where all those friends are. But there is no map in the traditional sense. No continents, no political boundaries. Just a light and a link for each pair of friends.

And a world of relationships takes shape.

That's pretty cool. I just canceled my facebook acct and canceled myspace about a year ago. I never logged on and had tons of people wanting to befriend me that I hadn't seen in 15 years. I can barely make time to hang out with my few close friends, what's the point in knowing someone I'll never have time to see is headed to a picnic with their kids or waiting to be seated at a restaurant.

I don't facebook, myspace, tweet or text but I do phone calls, e-mail and bladeforums. :)

But of course. Why do you think they live out in the middle of nowhere in the first place?

Canadians are practically English-speaking Russians! The Yukon is their Siberia! Beer is their vodka!

Where is my Xanax?

The only place my work said not to go on with my work issued laptop is Facebook and pron. They said nothing about Blade Forums HA!

I enjoy Facebook and how it reconnected me with highschool friends. One of a friend of friend's sister actually Facebooked me that someone found my wallet back in my hometown up in the hills where I used to 4x4 in my jeep. I knew it was up there, walked throught twice looking for it. 25 yrs. later it is found! It is at Whittier Police station, (if still there). Facebook is pretty cool. I am glad I can stay in touch with my friends, if I want to, or not.

From BF: I have as Face Book friends: Esav, Spark, Jonnymac, T Ederli and Protourist Mack. That is nothing to sneeze at.

What is the dot in the Atlantic Ocean, looks like it's off the coast of Virginia/North Carolina? (I had to open the Hi Res pic to see it) Oil Rig? Atlantis?

I don't Facebook or twitter or any of it. I could care less what 99% of the world is doing, and don't have any desire at all to share what I'm doing. Was a neat picture though.

Gotta be Bermuda.

C'mon... tell the truth. The black zone in your area is REALLY just because you are all mean and don't have any friends.:p

There are too many things to do in Canada that are way better than spending time facebooking, however I can always make a bit of time for Bladeforumming :D
