Hi guys - I have a 105 with a flap sheath. I’ve never been a fan of flap sheaths and was thinking about getting one of the current style factory sheaths from Buck. How is the quality of current sheaths versus my old flap style one? You can’t help noticing that the quality of many products nowadays ain’t what it used to be. So, I thought I’d ask long time Buck owners & users how today’s factory sheaths compare. A custom sheath isn’t in the cards right now. Thanks

Thanks. Not interested in a trade, but I appreciate the offer. The new style sheaths are listed at $ 20 on Buck’s website. That is very reasonable, but I wondered about their quality compared to the older sheaths.

IMO,Bucks flap sheaths are better quality.
More secure and better built....I’ve got a few from the early 70’s that are still in great shape. Just keep flap conditioned or it’ll crack if dried out.

The new ones hold the knife tighter, no rattle, and a little easier to manipulate...

Just a friendly reminder, you need to watch what you say in open forum. PM each other or upgrade to Gold Membership...

Thanks guys for your comments. I think I’ll try one of the new sheaths. It may not be quite as good quality as the older flap sheath that I have, but no one has called them absolute garbage here. Sounds like it’s worth a try.

Why do have two banners? Its because I'm special. Think of it as GOLD +
