I just bought a bk7 and wanted to know if you guys think I should keep the factory angle on it or what angle would you go with. Also, what are the best size of bench stones to get for the bk7. Right know I have the Gatco system. Thanks
 
try the factory edge out first and see how it holds up before changing the edge angle. try cutting different materials to help decide what you want to do. you might even consider a convex edge. if you want a different way to sharpen, check out the paper wheels. you can sharpen a knife in a few minutes and put whatever angle on you choose. here is a link to a thread on them. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=578787
