FACTORY EDGES: WHO CARRIES EM
I cannot remember the last time I carried a knife with a factory/makers edge.
Damn near without fail. I will always pull out the stones, hones and strop to get rid of the factory wire edge on a new blade. A new knife shows up with a super sharp wire edge that lasts for the first 10 minutes testing a new knife. Besides, I like edges I put on a blade, personally I derive a lot of satisfaction from the skill of sharpening.
Anybody else does the same?
