Were these done at Buck or after they left the factory?

Say...that's not one of those Civil War bowie knives I've been reading about here, is it??? :D

Seriously, I can't recall ever seeing Buck advertise a War Of Northern Aggression Commemorative 110...

If this is a poll, I'd vote "after"... :)

factory... defently factory...
the design is in the laser cut out files i got.
it come as year stamped / year stamped and serial numbered
and custom stamped/ and custom stamped with seral numbers..
it is not odd to find a Buck Blade in all 4 configurations...
and there is NOT current data that i know of
seperating production numbers of each configuration !!
this was used as a usa flag also and one or two state flags
addationaly it is one of the very very few cutouts done on
that little girls knife ,,,, the 112...
FWIW...
it was a war of aggreason...
jest as pres Jackson was a raciest agenst natave americians
history was always written by the winners..

We prefer "war to suppress Yankee arrogance" :D

How did that work out for ya? :D

Anyway I had a 119 with the *current* USA flag and the 110 also, I believe they were sold through Shepard of the hills? They had Buck production numbers on the Buck boxes. They were SP knives.

Either way, save your money :D ;)

Maybe some other company over layed the american flag with that one?

That *is* an American flag...Might not be the one you're used to...but still deserving of respect... ;)

(That's not to say that all the asshats who drive around with it painted on the back window of their pickup trucks are patriotic Americans...but there's a lot of monuments at Gettysberg wearing that flag...all commemorating fallen Americans...)

This flag was originally flown as an ensign in the Navy.
The first flag was a blue field with a single white star to show unity.
The stars and bars came to be used for two reasons :
1-because it happened to be the only flag some one had at the time
2-and become used later as that there was a confusing northern flag that also had a blue field as did the Virginia state flag.
this design was more destinve and symbolic, northern troups did not like it
so whats not to like..
i don' like that it also was adopted by other groups.. some ware some one owned the rights to the design...could be the Sons of the Confedreancy?
they should ask for pay ment for its use...
thoes rights certently are not owned by the USA,,,

:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
10-4 on that Trax. Amen.

...That is one Buck 110 having a few "baubles and bangles" that I will have to search out. I'm not usually into the cut-outs but in this case I do have to make an exception...LOL...
...No doubt in my mind that there were and are some "malignant groups" ...:thumbdn:...that have adopted the Flag of the Confederacy as the banner they operate under. What a shame that is. No matter at all that this was and is a flag that millions of Americans lived under in complete pride. A great Heritage should never be erased or ridiculed...no matter how hard some try...

I edited my post Trax, sorry I wasnt *super clear* in it originally... I *thought* everyone would understand my point. If not maybe Daves decoder ring worked?

This was all before my time so I really don't have a dog in this "fight". I aint putting anyones heritage down ;)

It sure is weird how some of these threads take these strange turns... :D
