factory re-sharpening?????

I have a 13 year old CQC-7 clip point/serrated that is about due for a factory resharpening. (Especially as I just rec'd my Roadhouse a couple of weeks back, so I'm now willing to be without my regular EDC companion for the last decade +:)

Has anyone done this? If so - is that all they do for the $19? Specifically - any chance they'll clean & buff it a bit - or is it purely a sharpening job.

TIA

Hi, welcome to bladeforums. It is hard to say what they will do to your knife. The best bet is to call or email EKI, ask them for specific services. They can do just about anything to your knife that you request, but you should ask about the charges Beforehand so it isn't a surprise. I sent back a CQC7, and I asked them not to sharpen it, I needed the clip screws replaced and a new liner lock. They sent it back within 10 days and everything I requested was done. Good Luck.

I sent my 13 in all beat up, tip broken, lock almost all the way over against the liner. Cost me $24 to have the lock replaced, all cleaned up, resharpened and the broken tip fixed.

Give them a call or send an email, they'll fix you right up.
