Factory Sale on 21st - Choices?

Factory Outlet Sale in Golden is on the 21st.

What models should be expected to be present? :confused:

Folks at factory store said most likely not Japanese made, but USA made products.


HELP needed from those who are in the Know.

I believe it's only specials on knives in the SFO. I also heard, from Deacon, I think, that these knives have minor imperfections and may not be covered by warranty.
 
It's pretty hard to take orders when you don't know what will be there. In the past, many people have said they couldn't even find the flaw that made the knife a second, but there was something that made it fail QC. Anything that might make the knife unsafe to use will disqualify it from being sold at all. The knives have no boxes and are not covered by warranty.
 
I know that what is available will not be first quality, but still make great users.

I just thought someone with some information (since this is the Spyderco page) would be able to give a clue as to what models will be available at this sale. I am fortunate to have a gentleman purchasing for a group of us here in Washington State.

Perhaps some help from our Dear Moderator?
 
You should not "expect" to find any particular model. What you will find is whatever failed QC inspection, but was not deemed unsafe. Any model available during the past year will probably be represented there, but that can't be guaranteed. Logic would suggest there will be more specimens of "high volume" knives than of Sprint Runs and Liimited Production pieces, but again, nothing is certain. A small number of older knives may be there as well, but there's no telling which ones

I'm sorry, to be honest, I have no idea. :o I just don't have a lot to do with the seconds.

The seconds are various products (knives, sharpening stones and possibly other accessories) that have been accumulated over the past year. They could be from any of our makers and include our own factory here.
