Hey guys Im going up to Portland and Oregon City was on the way. I was just curious if anyone could tell me what tours were like. I was also wondering if there might be blemished benchmades for sale, and were most things were at msrp? Thanks!

Benchmade has a store at there factory. Hours should be on their website. While in the store they have a 2nd floor window that looks over the factory and a room that show their history.

As for prices, I have only ever seen MSRP. I think they may have discount for police, military, etc.

Thanks Khopesh for sharing your experience, your input definitely helped with making a descision. Think we were going to end up passing on the factory visit this time around

I enjoyed it, they have showcases with old models, cases of knives carried all over the world with stories attached, some with bullet holes in them and things. You can observe the factory and the factory store is pretty neat. I think it is worth a stop by there some day.

I visited the bm factory two years ago.To the right of the for entrance/receptionist is the factory store. In the corner is the warranty service drop off/pickup window. All benchmade items are MSRP with no sales tax. There is a discount for police and military. They have almost everything on display except for a few items like the freek, grips,sheaths.... Be warned all items are razor sharp so expect to be cut, as I found while checking out the Anthem.I also had the chance to check out some of their restricted class knives like the infidel.Really Coool......

As for the second floor factory display, they have a few items on display but not a vast selection featuring their history which I found underwhelming. There is a also an observation window overlooking the factory floor showing worker assembling knives at their work benches and a screen displaying factory targets.

It certainly was a worthwhile visited.YMMW

If I were in the area I'd go. I always search out local knife shops/companies when I travel.

I was there in the fall of 2017. I enjoyed the visit. It was interesting to watch from the 2nd floor and follow the production & assembly around the shop floor. There were some things on display as parts of Benchmade's history, but it certainly wasn't a complete "trail" of where they came from. The store was fun to visit and handle knives that I hadn't been able to handle in person at that time.

To me, it was well worth the slight detour on our run south from Seattle to LA.
